"La Minette Coquette" 2023

"La Minette Coquette" translates literally to "The Flirtatious Kitty," but basically means she's a playful hottie. I wanted to paint an homage to Trinidad Carnival but I didn't want to be too literal, so I created this delightful character who is part Carnival reveller, part cancan dancerl and part showgirl. She has a delightful smirk on her face and a teasing twinkle in her eyes. She was the painting in which I was the least controlled, where I let loose and had a party on the canvas. And I think it shows. 

This poster has a partly glossy, partly matte finish and it'll add a touch of sophistication to any room.
